Product Review - Dark and Lovely Au Naturale: Curl Defining Creme Glaze
From Dark & Lovely: Au Naturale Curl Defining Crème Glaze- Our new anti-shrinkage recipe with mango oil and bamboo milk. Includes no sulfates, mineral oil, parabens or petrolatum. A styling cream for wavy and curly hair. Curl Defining Crème Glaze has a light whipped cream texture for moisture and medium hold for curl types 4-6. The results are defined, elongated and frizz free curls. Hair is soft and touchable after styling!
I tried the Dark and Lovely Curl Defining Creme Glaze looking for a new product that would give my natural curls good definition while keeping my hair soft and not too weighed down. My hair is very non-porous, so while it could just be my hair type, this product left me a little dissatisfied. Though it doesn’t have a lot of the chemicals that we like to keep away from our hair, the Curl Defining Creme Glaze does still have alcohol which you can tell without reading the label. The texture is really nice and I like the smell (though it was strong). Unfortunately, I put a lot of product on my hair and it was still a little dryer then I like and not that curly or defined.
I will say that it left my hair soft. So if it had really defined my curls I think it would be a product I would try to make work. I wanted to like it because the price point was great in comparison to all these other natural hair products (I think I spent 9.99) but it’s not something I will be using again.
